I just recently moved into a new place, so I have been scanning the internet for pieces that will make it feel like me. Here are some of the items that are catching my eye as I begin to design my new home.

I love warm wood tones, and this round tray from Nordstrom is the perfect way to bring that into the home. Here’s a similar one on Amazon.

It’s been really exciting to bring some geometric shapes into my home and play around with prints, as I used to be someone who would stick to basics and neutrals. This throw blanket from Nordstrom was a way to add texture and shapes to my space, without stepping too far out of my comfort zone.

I love fun, visual coffee table books. This book on the London fashion scene is currently on sale at Nordstrom. One of my personal favorites is “The Year of Cozy” by Adrianna Adarme, where she offers up crafts and recipes for welcoming each new season with grace and anticipation.

These beautiful pieces of glassware are way out of my price range, but I love how unique and how they add an object of interest to a space. The amber vase brings a bright pop of color, and the stunning speckled one inspired by Italian glassmakers.
Of course, creating a space is more about how it makes you feel rather than the material items you decorate it with. Rather than approaching design to follow a trend, rather, create a sanctuary for yourself that you want to spend time in. Welcome home.
